Finding champagne houses that offer glasses of champagne without requiring a tour and are open to the public was surprisingly difficult during my time in Reims. While it’s easy to find restaurants or tasting rooms, I wanted to experience the ambiance of a champagne house without the need for a scheduled tour. Additionally, since I didn’t have a car, I relied on walking to get to these champagne houses.
In this post, I will share the champagne houses I visited that offer glasses of champagne or tasting menus. I’ll include pictures of how to get there and photos of the menus. However, I won’t include too many photos or details about the interiors, so you can enjoy the surprise and charm that each house brings!
Champagne Vranken
To get to the tasting go to the Villa Demoiselle not the main champagne house where they do the tours
Champagne Vranken offers both indoor and outdoor seating in a stunning setting. The grounds are truly magnificent and definitely worth a visit!
Champagne Charles de Cazanove
The champagne house is just a pleasant 7-minute walk down the same avenue as the Reims train station
Champagne Charles de Cazanove offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Although they only provide tastings, not single glasses of champagne, the outdoor area has five tables, and there’s plenty of indoor seating. The industrial surroundings provide a unique backdrop for enjoying their champagne.
Champagne Jacquart
The Champagne Jacquart house was celebrating the season of champagne with colorful decorations all around.
Champagne Jacquart offered an incredible selection of champagnes by the glass, along with tasting sets that felt like a journey through bubbles. With the elegant Hôtel de Brimont as a backdrop, the mostly outdoor tasting room was the perfect place to savor every sip and soak in the beauty of Reims.
